The short version

Indie Runway is a privacy-first tool. Your financial data never leaves your browser. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your personal or financial information.

Data we do NOT collect

  • Income, expenses, or savings figures you enter
  • Calculation results, scores, or projections
  • Names, email addresses, or identifying information
  • IP addresses or device fingerprints

How your data is stored

All data you enter into the calculator is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This means:

  • Data exists only on your device
  • No data is sent to any server
  • Clearing your browser data removes all stored information
  • We have no ability to access, recover, or view your data

Payment processing

Pro license purchases are processed entirely by our payment provider, our merchant of record. When you purchase a Pro license:

  • Payment information is collected and handled by our payment provider, not by us
  • We receive only the license key and purchase confirmation — not your payment details
  • Please refer to our payment provider's privacy policy for their data handling practices

License key verification

When you activate a Pro license key, a verification request is sent to our payment provider's API to confirm the key's validity. This request contains only the license key — no personal or financial data. Your license key is stored in your browser's localStorage for convenience.

Cookies and tracking

Indie Runway does not use cookies, analytics trackers, or any third-party tracking scripts. When you click a purchase link, you are redirected to our payment provider's hosted checkout page and returned to our site after payment.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Our payment provider — merchant of record, payment processing, and license key management
  • Cloudflare — website hosting and CDN

These services may collect standard web server logs (IP addresses, browser type) as part of their infrastructure. We do not access or use this data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
